Summer Camps at Lake Geneva Christian Center

Summer Camps were back in full swing in 2023. This year’s Kids’ Camp theme was The G.O.A.T. We wanted every camper to know that Jesus Christ is the greatest of all time! The speakers were Pastor Zach Preston and Pastor Kayla Meadache. Both brought the Word to our students through skits, stories, and object lessons. God moved powerfully around the altars. Almost every camper responded that they heard God speak or felt his presence at camp. Over $60,000 was raised for missions to build basketball courts next to churches in Kenya. KidMin Director Chris Pruett commented, “MN is so blessed to have the best kids pastors in the nation. This year was our biggest kids camp season with over 2,143 campers, 227 teen volunteers, and 651 adult volunteers, totaling 3,021.”

Family Camp followed Kids Camp as tents, bikes, and RVs poured into Lake Geneva Christian Center. The campgrounds and worship center were filled to capacity, and the services were filled with God’s presence. We were blessed by the ministry of Susie Larson and her husband Kevin, Denny Duron, Dr. Allen Tennison, and Joe Gordon. Messages in the Worship Center were recorded and are posted on our website at: mnaog.org/media.

The third week of Youth Camp is happening as you read this. Our youth camp speakers this year were Terrence Talley, Chris Estrada, Micah MacDonald, and Gabriel Zamora. They are all dynamic communicators leading students to the altars every night of camp. The Jr. Teen and Combined 1 weeks were the largest ever, and it could be another record year in overall attendance. Camp recap videos for Kids Camp and Youth Camp are posted online at: vimeo.com/mnaog.

We are so thankful for the significant growth in our age-graded Camps and Retreats. The new building will allow us to accommodate 240 additional campers each night, provide new meeting space, and expand our year-round recreational options. Thanks again to everyone for your investment in the fruitful ministry happening at Lake Geneva. The results in the lives of those attending are a blessing to churches, pastors, and all who participate. We pray this new facility will allow the next generation to experience God’s presence in ever growing numbers. We hope to have access to the new space before summer ends.
