BTG Thrive Conference | Angie Goetz, BTG Director
On October 6-7, thousands of women swarmed the Rochester Mayo Civic Center for the THRIVE Conference. They were encouraged and challenged by special guests Annie F. Downs, Bianca Juarez Olthoff, Hosanna Wong, and Gabrielle McCullough. Worship was led by Emmanuel Live. It was an incredible time together with teaching, worship, session openers, and a mechanical bull at the Friday after-party!
The 2023 theme, “Pursuit,” was birthed from the scripture, Psalm 119:105, “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path.” On Friday evening, every attendee received a 52-scripture card set that coincides with the BTG annual devotional book’s 52 entries. Bridging the Gap’s desire is to see women engage in God’s Word with the 52-week long campaign with the 52 Scripture cards, a devotional book, and each Monday a social media video or written commentary about that week’s verse.
Additionally, the BTG Global Missions goal is to raise $500,000 for five ministries – Africa’s Hope, Project42, WorldServe, Project Rescue, and Venture – with projects ranging from Bible college scholarships for women in Nigeria, supporting missionaries in the darkest places, providing feminine hygiene products to schools in Kenya, furnishing a home for sex trafficking victims in Southeast Asia, and providing border patrol stations between India and Nepal to rescue potential victims of human trafficking. For information about giving, go to mnbtg.org/missions and tap “Give Global.” BTG teams will travel to Kenya in February and a Montana Safehouse in August 2024. Bridging the Gap will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Thrive in 2024 with the theme “Wonder,” exploring the awe and wonder of God. For first-time attendees to Thrive in Rochester, tickets are $20 in 2024. We are encouraging women to purchase tickets for friends, co-workers, and neighbors who need the hope of Jesus. Register for tickets at btgthriveconference.org.
