Kids XP 2020 was amazing! This was the event’s 10th year, in which the aim is to inspire and equip kids to pursue Christ daily. Attendance grew by 400 people this year, bringing the total to 940 kids and adults between two different sites. The two hosting churches were New Life Church in Princeton and Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park.
Featured speakers this year were Randy Christensen, Evangelist and Children’s Pastor at Hillside Church in Mankato, and Kyle Jorris, Evangelist and Children’s Pastor at Evangel Church in Bismark, ND. They taught about the importance of following Jesus even when life gets tough.
The worship teams led us in songs that spoke about God’s amazing love for us. Kids worship God with a reckless abandon. Usually, the adults leave more inspired to worship like the kids!
They also had a chance to meet and hear from Dan & Erin Pack, U.S. Missionaries to the Native Americans in South Minneapolis, and Sam and Laura Witwicke, Missionary Associates to Paraguay.
Kids and their leaders had a ton of fun playing on giant inflatable games, making new friends, and doing small group Bible studies. They incorporated BGMC Buddy Barrels into the activities, building towers, city skylines, and playing other games together. Every kid got to take home their own plastic Buddy Barrel bank to fill with change for missionaries.
We give a huge shout-out to Pastor Aaron Gruber, Children’s Pastor at New Life Church, and Pastor Mark Harper, Children’s Pastor at Emmanuel Christian Center and their teams for doing such an amazing job of hosting! Thank you to the many volunteers who made the event happen. Thanks, also, to leaders from all the churches for bringing your kids!
We hope to see even more of you at next year’s Kids XP on February 27th, 2021!
