The Woods at Lake Placid is nestled on the shores of the Crow Wing River in Pillager, MN. With both modern and rustic facilities, it’s the perfect venue for church or staff retreats, kids’ and youth camps, men’s groups, quilting retreats, and more!
Two of the largest annual events at The Woods are the Girls and Boys Statewide Campouts. Both are open to all churches and offer men and women opportunities to have fun, build skills, and take a deeper dive into discipleship with the students they bring.
The campouts feature anointed speakers and worship, activities that engage and challenge students, and opportunities for relational discipleship.
The Woods is thankful for Dennis Moon, Jacob King, and Tanja Dwire, who brought the Word, challenged students and leaders in their spiritual walks, and helped prepare hearts for the Holy Spirit to work. The Woods is also deeply grateful to everyone who served, prayed, and supported these events.
2026 was a record-breaking year for missions offerings at the campouts: $6,320.74 from the boys and $6,503.05 from the girls to support the Discipleship Center building project!
The renovation portion of the project is complete, with four new three-quarter bathrooms and a 2,000-square-foot meeting space.
