Men’s Advance Recap | Mark Lerom, Men’s Ministry Director

In Colossians 1:28 the apostle Paul wrote, “…that we may present all men mature in Christ.” The vision for Men’s Ministry in the MN District is to build mature men – men who reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously, and invest eternally.

On March 25-26 we had a great opportunity to build mature men during Men’s Advance. A total of 858 men came to Lake Geneva Christian Center (LGCC). The theme this year was “ALL IN”.

Nate Ruch, Lead Pastor at Emmanuel Christian Center, was the keynote speaker. Pastor Nate challenged, motivated, and equipped the men to respond to the call of God on their lives – and many did! During the three main sessions he challenged the men to “get out of the box” and to “speak blessings” into the lives of others. He also encouraged them to “live out the dream” God has called them to.

Pastor Steve Ekholm, from Mora, did two breakout sessions on “Living a Supernatural Lifestyle”, where over 40 men were healed and many were baptized in the Holy Spirit. Another five men were healed during the “Taking Care of Business” prayer time Friday night. The presence of God was so powerful in that place!

A special thanks to the speakers, JonCarlos and Emmanuel Live, and also the Men’s Advance team. They all did an awesome job setting the table for men to meet with God.

Men’s Advance is only one weekend out of the year, yet it serves as a launching pad for greater things. I believe the men were challenged to go forward and go deeper with the Lord as they lead their families and step up to help lead in their local church. It is my hope and prayer that men left feeling engaged, equipped, and encouraged to lead lives of purpose, passion, and power.

In 2023, Men’s Advance will be March 24-25 at LGCC. Pastor Rob Ketterling from River Valley Church will be the keynote speaker!

The District Men’s Ministry will provide more opportunities this year for men to engage and be equipped with the following events:

– Best Practices Luncheon – June 16
– Coffee with the Guys at Family Camp – Saturday, July 9
– “Building a Better Man” Men’s Breakfast – Sept. 24
– Men’s Conference in Rochester – Oct. 8
