Bridging the Gap’s annual Single Moms Retreat welcomed a record 702 attendees and volunteers to Lake Geneva on June 6–7, 2025. The theme, LIGHT, was drawn from Psalm 36:9 (NLT): “For You are the fountain of life, the LIGHT by which we see.”

It was a powerful weekend featuring speakers Micah MacDonald and Mykelti Blum, with musical worship led by Steph MacDonald. Fifteen workshops covered topics such as praying for your children, meal planning, godly dating, and self-defense.

Friday’s free activities included 120 car inspections and repairs, a boutique featuring 12,108 clothing items, a craft room, 50 professional haircuts, massages, and spa services. Pastor Micah opened the evening with a message titled “Death to Life,” which concluded with full altars, salvations, and pool baptisms—followed by an after-party that served 1,428 slices of pizza.

Saturday began with a 1-mile/5K race, complete with confetti cannons, and lakeside devotions by the bonfire. Mykelti Blum challenged the ladies to reflect on what might be holding them back. The retreat concluded with Pastor Micah’s message, “Oasis,” and each woman received a flower to symbolize the refreshment found in Jesus.

This retreat impacts not just the moms who attend, but also their children and future generations. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and financial support to make this life-giving weekend possible.

Looking ahead to 2026, Pastors Brooke Maxwell and Kevin Ramsby will speak at the retreat on May 29–30. Register to attend or volunteer at mnbtg.org/retreat.
