New Partnership for North Central University and MNSOM | MN School of Ministry

The Minnesota School of Ministry (MNSOM) is pleased to announce that completed MNSOM classes now qualify toward North Central University (NCU) college credits. Over the past year, Dr. Allen Tennison, Dean of the College of Church Leadership at NCU, worked diligently to create an articulation agreement that combined “clusters” of successfully completed MNSOM classes and convert them into NCU class credits. By clustering multiple MNSOM classes together, NCU meets classroom hour requirements for university accreditation. Dr. Scott Hagan, NCU President, noted, “Our new partnership with the Minnesota School of Ministry represents the future of ministerial training affordability blended with top scholarship. The future is bright when it comes to quality ministerial development in Minnesota.” Mark Dean, Superintendent of the Minnesota District of the Assemblies of God added, “The leadership of the MN District AG is excited about the expanding partnership of North Central University with MNSOM. For over 90 years NCU has provided spiritual leaders who have ministered in our state and around the world.  Their willingness to invest in MNSOM students will continue to expand the local and global reach of the Gospel. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who sense God’s call to be even more fully equipped.”

MNSOM students typically have established careers, families, and serve as key volunteers in their churches. Their call from God to enter into vocational ministry became evident later in life. Many MNSOM students who did not follow a college path right after completing high school are now motivated to further their education and pursue a college degree. This new partnership with NCU will help MNSOM students advance more quickly and affordably toward earning a college degree and better equip them to serve the church.
