In 2011 at New River AG in Red Wing, a small group of people gathered for the first time as the Minnesota School of Ministry (MNSOM). Ten years later, as our new school year begins, 250 MNSOM students will attend classes at four convenient locations across the state.

MNSOM remains committed to build healthy faith communities by assisting current ministers in upgrading their credentials and investing in those who are pursuing credentials for the first time.

MNSOM recently held its second-annual Propel Internship Summit on July 16-17 at Celebration Church in Lakeville. Students were encouraged to bring their spouses, mentors, or their pastors as guests. All totaled, 71 were in attendance.

This Internship Summit is the first in the country among the 35 AG District Schools of Ministry. For the past two years, MNSOM has created additional opportunities for the students to grow and be involved in ministerial experiences as they pursue credentials.

While interns shadow ministerial experiences with their mentors, the goal of this annual summit is to enhance those experiences by providing teaching in ten different areas of ministry, sharing best practices across the state, offering hands-on practical information, and receiving a rich resource guide for further study. God was faithful to supply amazing Minnesota District AG ministers who had a passion, or expertise in those ten areas.

The ongoing growth of MNSOM is credited to the MN District ministers who recognize God’s calling on people’s lives and connect them to MNSOM. The school’s success is due to the solid core of amazing ministers who teach our classes and serve as mentors.

If you have a prospective candidate for study through the MNSOM program, please call, email, or visit us at our website at mnsom.org for more information.
