Sisterhood Leadership Retreat Recap | Angie Goetz
On a sub-zero weekend in mid-February, a record number of 323 women gathered for Bridging the Gap’s annual Sisterhood Leadership Retreat at Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria, MN. The weekend’s theme of “Intentional Influencers” was woven together beautifully between our main session speakers and the 10 workshops.
Peggy Vagle kicked off the retreat Friday night with an incredible message that revolved around abiding in Christ and exhibiting the fruit of Galatians 5. The evening ended with extended time around the altars, followed by a late night networking event with time to relax with friends around great snacks.
The workshops on Saturday morning encompassed both ministry and marketplace topics. The morning main session included a prerecorded video podcast conversation with me (Angie), Carol Lund, and our E^3 podcast host, Mykelti Blum, on the topic of “Healthy Transitions in Leadership”. You can subscribe to our podcast at mnbtg.org/e3. Look for that episode coming soon!
As a Strengths Communicator, Portia Allen shared an anointed message about using our God-given strengths to further God’s Kingdom. Peggy Vagle closed out the weekend sharing how we can’t have a victory without a “middle.” Both speakers were encouraging and inspiring!
Bridging the Gap believes women are influential leaders in their homes, families, friendships, workplaces, and churches. Sisterhood Leadership is for every woman of every generation. This unique event will continue to encourage, equip, and empower leaders from every sphere both professionally and spiritually. More than ever before, our world needs kingdom-minded leaders grounded in their faith.
Looking ahead to 2023, nationally known speaker and former COO of Propel Women, Alli Worthington, will be joining us for the Sisterhood Leadership Retreat with The Waters Worship. Register now for the early bird rate for February 10-11 at Lake Geneva Christian Center at mnbtg.org/slretreat.
