Men’s Conference 2025 Recap | Mark Lerom
More than 1,320 men gathered at Lake Geneva Christian Center in late March for the largest Men’s Advance in Minnesota history. Centered on the theme Stepping Up (Ephesians 6:10), the weekend embodied the vision of Colossians 1:28—building mature men in Christ.
Evangelist Joe Anderson served as the keynote speaker, delivering three powerful messages challenging men to step up in power, obedience, and eternity. On Friday night, the altar was filled with men seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit and activation in spiritual gifts. In the final session, many came forward to give their lives to Christ for the first time. “The presence of God was so powerful in that place!” one attendee said.
Twenty-one breakout sessions addressed topics like Building Iron Men, Getting Past Your Past, and Reaching the Next Generation. Pastor Steve Ekholm led a session on supernatural freedom, where over 60 men responded with raised hands, acknowledging breakthroughs as they prayed for healing and release. Over 30 men received personal prayer and experienced freedom and healing.
The River Valley Church worship team led dynamic worship, and Pastor Doug Vagle kept the energy high as the emcee. A huge thank-you goes out to the speakers, worship team, and Men’s Advance team for creating space for God to move.
Looking ahead, the Men’s Ministry team is offering more opportunities to grow and connect through events like Equip Conference (April 26), Single Moms Retreat Car Care (June 6–7), Family Camp Coffee (July 5), and Lead the Way (November 22).
Men’s Advance 2026 is March 27–28. Registration opens December 29 at mnaog.org.
