AG KidMin Creative Conference | Chris Pruett, MN KidMin Director
The KidMin Creative Conference was held October 20-21 and it was a huge success! 135 people from nine states came to sharpen their presenting skills to children. Our national director, Kelly Presson, was honored to have MN host the first Creative Conference. He said, “MN has a rich heritage of children’s ministry, and it was a no brainer to have MN lead the way. We were also able to partner with Mark Kilcoyne and the Wisconsin/N. Michigan District to pull this off.”
Today’s kids have shorter attention spans. There are billion-dollar industries such as Disney, Microsoft, Sony, and App Stores that compete for every waking moment of our kids’ attention. Therefore, our local children’s pastors and leaders must be able to capture our kids’ attention before we attempt to capture their hearts. Some of the sessions covered topics such as balloon animals, magic tricks, creative storytelling, ventriloquism, and video editing to engage your kids through media.
Our presenters shared incredible insights and wisdom with us and everyone in attendance went home inspired, equipped, and challenged to reach more kids for Christ.
