What does the MDC Communications Department do?

The MDC Communications Department exists to support you — our pastors and church leaders across the Minnesota District. We’re here to serve, and we hope to do that by sharing stories, offering helpful resources, and communicating key information that strengthens the local church.

Because we want to keep you, our pastors, informed and connected, we publish the District’s “MDC Monthly” newsletter, send out weekly email updates, and maintain an active presence on Facebook, Instagram, and X. Through these channels, our goal is to foster connection across the district and keep you up to date on what’s happening.

If you’d like to receive updates directly, you can opt in to our monthly newsletter or weekly emails by calling the District Office at 612-332-2400 and asking for the Communications Department. Alternatively, feel free to browse all current and past MDC Monthly articles online here.

In each update, we regularly feature pastors and their churches, highlight ministries across the MDC, and share practical news to help you stay in the loop. Also, we’re also developing new ways to support churches through tech help and digital tools — offering free advisement on topics like livestreaming, social media, and church communications, all through our growing network of professionals.

Jessica Beamond has been a member of the MDC Communications Department for four years. She has specialized expertise in graphic design, event coordination, and website optimization. In addition, Jessica plays a key role in managing the district’s overall communication strategies. If you would like to connect with her, simply email or call 612-332-2400, ext. 280. James has served as the Communications Coordinator at MDC for over a year. In this role, he brings expertise in livestream production, video editing, and computer/technology support. Additionally, James is passionate about helping churches and pastors navigate technical challenges and strengthen their digital presence.
