Dr. Doug Graham | Assistant Superintendent
Greetings Minnesota Pastors & Families! What an honor it was to have recently been elected by this GREAT district to serve as your Assistant Superintendent. I have experienced many blessings in my life as a pastoral leader and to be given the privilege to serve our District and the vision of our Superintendent, Mark Dean, is certainly at the top of the list of incredible distinctions in my life.
Here’s a snapshot of my life and ministry:
• Hometown: Kalispell, Montana
• Married August 17, 1984
• Graduated from North Central University, 1986
• Youth Pastor, Bismarck, ND, Evangel Temple, 1986-90
• Associate Pastor, Kenosha, WI, First Assembly of God, 1990-93
• Lead Pastor, La Crosse, WI, River of Life AG, 1993-2005
• Lead Pastor, Bismarck, ND, Evangel AG, 2005-14
• Vice President for Spiritual Life, North Central University, 2014-present
Vicki and I are blessed that each of our three sons and our daughter love Jesus and serve in the local church. Our son Kyle and his wife Breeanna live in Miami and serve at Vous Church; Kirk and Kaylee serve at River Valley Church; Kaleb and Autumn serve at Evangel in Bismarck, ND; Karlee serves at Cedar Valley Church; and, Vicki is the Family Life Pastor at Cedar Valley Church. Indeed, we love the local church, and pastoral ministry really is our #familybusiness.
My role at NCU will continue to be my primary focus, however, the responsibilities as Assistant Superintendent will allow me the privilege of investing encouragement to the pastors of our District. Much of what I teach and preach at NCU will be the theme of my new role, including love for Jesus, love for people, and love for family. I am convinced that healthy pastoral leadership is determined by personal prayer and devotion, maintaining a pastoral heart and truly caring for people, and prioritizing home life where family receives our best energy and attention.
As I reflect on this new role, what I look forward to the most are the opportunities to be an encourager and mentor to pastors who are giving it their all to build strong churches that are making a transformative difference in their communities.
Our greatest days are still ahead!
