Single Moms Retreat 2026 Recap | Angie Goetz
Bridging the Gap’s annual Single Moms Retreat continues to impact generations through the support of church volunteer teams, including several serving through Kingdom Builders Missions Trips. Hundreds of single moms gathered at Lake Geneva on May 29–30 for a weekend of encouragement, practical resources, and spiritual renewal.
Pastor Brooke Maxwell and Pastor Kevin Ramsby served as keynote speakers, while workshops covered topics such as praying for your children, estate planning, godly dating, and self-defense.
Friday’s FREE activities included 100 vehicle inspections and repairs, a boutique stocked with 12,732 clothing items, a craft room, Bibles for adults and children, 56 professional haircuts, massages, brow waxes, and spa services. During the evening service, Pastor Brooke shared a powerful message that led to salvations, baptisms, and full altars. The celebration continued with Bingo and more than 1,000 slices of pizza.
Saturday began with a 1-mile/5K race and lakeside devotions. During the main session, Pastor Kevin shared his testimony and message, “The Fight to Forgive,” prompting another powerful response at the altars.
As the retreat concluded, every mom received a snack bag containing a handwritten note from a volunteer, offering encouragement and hope.
The Single Moms Retreat is a tangible expression of loving our neighbors, honoring families, and instilling dignity in every participant. Thank you to everyone who generously invested their time, resources, and finances into this life-changing weekend.
Looking ahead, Dr. Keisha Spivey will speak at the 2027 Single Moms Retreat on June 4–5. Register now to volunteer or send moms from your church at mnbtg.org/retreat.
