World Assemblies of God Fellowship Senders’ Summit
On July 1, 2014, during the construction phase of the Dining and Event Center at Lake Geneva, the Family Camp speaker, Denny Duron, prophesied that this site would one day host a strategic meeting of global missions leaders. Inspired by this word, Mark Dean conversed with Brad Walz, chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship Missions Commission, that the doors of Lake Geneva would be open to any vision God stirred in their hearts. That prophecy became reality in 2023 when Lake Geneva hosted the very first Senders’ Summit.
On September 23–25, 2025, the vision continued to expand. More than 200 International Missions Leaders representing 78 nations gathered once again at Lake Geneva to continue this journey of collaboration, cooperation, and renewed commitment to advance world evangelization.
As in 2023, the successful gathering of international leaders required significant efforts to secure approval from their respective countries in order to enter the United States. While challenging, these efforts bore incredible fruit. The gathering of these leaders was a clear testimony to God’s provision and faithfulness.
Inspired by John 20:21 and Romans 10:14–15, “Sons & Daughters to the Unengaged,” was the 2025 theme. This theme emphasized the call to raise up spiritual sons and daughters who will go to the unengaged and unreached, carrying the gospel where it has not yet been heard. It also highlighted the vital role of partnerships, reminding delegates that the task is not one that can be completed in isolation but must be embraced together.
The Summit centered on three themes: Sons and Daughters, Unengaged, and Receiving Partnerships. Each session, veteran missions leaders brought inspiration and vision. Among the notable presenters were John Easter, Executive Director of Assemblies of God World Missions, Doug Clay, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, and many others. Their insights encouraged leaders to deepen relationships, build networks, and pursue bold new avenues of cooperation to see the gospel reach the most remote and challenging places on earth.
The Sender’s Summit was marked by the undeniable presence of God and remains a historic event for both the World Assemblies of God and the international missions community. What began as a prophetic word has grown into a global movement of collaboration and faith. Only God knows the ultimate results for the nations, but the call is clear: “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
