District Council & EQUIP Recap
On April 24-26, we gathered at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington for the 104th District Council and the annual EQUIP Conference. These were exciting days! The Ordination Service was our largest ever, with 88 newly credentialed ministers and 62 either upgraded to licenses or ordination, totaling 150 ministers. In Minnesota, we now have 1,362 Credentialed Ministers.
Along with celebrating those whom God has recently called into ministry, we honored those ordained for fifty years and those who went to be with the Lord in 2024. We also had the privilege of hearing from Superintendent Mark Dean as he shared his message, “We Get to Do This.” His challenge was timely: cherish the call, conquer the challenges, and complete the mission.
During the Thursday afternoon Business session, all the AGWM Missionaries, Missionary Associates, and nationally appointed US Missionaries were recognized. Currently, 209 missionaries have been sent from Minnesota. What a fantastic team of missionaries the Lord of the Harvest continues to call from our churches! For the 8th consecutive year, we also celebrated record-breaking missions giving with $1.4 million of growth in 2024, for a total of $23 million given to AGWM areas during the past year. The pastors and churches in our district are passionate to reach the lost from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.
EQUIP followed District Council with a record number of churches and individuals participating. The general session speakers (Pastor Rob Ketterling, Dr. Linda Seiler, and Dr. Allen Tennison) and the breakout speakers were phenomenal. If you missed any of them, they are available at mnaog.org/media. As always, Cedar Valley Church was a wonderful host and has already said “yes” to another year. Save the date for April 16-18, 2026.
Thank you for your faith-filled ministry across this great District. “He brought me to this position so that I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis 50:20
