What an incredible year it has been for the Minnesota District! God’s guiding hand led us to new heights with significant milestones achieved in missions, events, church planting, and salvations. We are deeply grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness and for the blessings we’ve experienced this year!
On a national scale, 2024 has been a year of remarkable growth. An astonishing 80% of all salvations within Assemblies of God churches this year occurred in churches planted within the last five years!
Pastor Brandon Allison and the congregation of Bethel’s Rock in Cannon Falls recently celebrated a remarkable step of faith as they closed on a new building. The property, which originated as a wedding and banquet facility, is located on the main highway, providing high visibility to all who pass through the town. In an incredible turn of events, the church now owns the building, with the facility’s rental payment covering almost the entire mortgage. This unique arrangement means the church effectively has its building paid for by its tenants. The church plans to begin renovations soon to transform the space into their new home. It’s an inspiring story of God’s provision as the church moves forward with a vision for growth and community impact.
The Minnesota District is in a strong position to reach its goal of planting 125 churches over the next decade. In 2024, 12 new churches were planted across the state, including the 10th church in the Hmong community. Additionally, 16 churches achieved the significant milestone of acquiring property for the first time. The Minnesota District now has 251 AG churches.
There is much to celebrate when it comes to events! Attendance at Youth and Kids camps grew by 1,000 participants in 2024. The BTG Women’s Thrive Conference also saw a remarkable increase, with 1,200 more attendees. Additionally, the Minnesota Youth Convention reached an all-time high, with nearly 4,600 participants—making it the largest convention to date. To God be the glory!
Another exciting area of growth is the increase in missionaries sent from Minnesota. Over the past seven years, that number has risen from 125 to nearly 190
Minnesota churches’ giving to AG World Missions (AGWM) has grown from $8.3 million to $21.6 million over the past seven years, a clear testament to the expanding generosity and impact. Every 17 seconds, someone comes to Christ through an AG ministry, and every 68 minutes, a new AG church is planted worldwide. From just a handful of churches 110 years ago, the Assemblies of God now has a reach of 465,000 churches globally, marking an extraordinary legacy of growth and outreach.
