Last month, 43 Minnesota seniors enjoyed an unforgettable bus tour to the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum in Kentucky and Ohio, May 8–12. This is the first trip 2nd Half Ministry (formerly S.A.M.) has taken since our recent name change. We enjoyed beautiful weather and great fellowship as we experienced the wonders and confirmation of God’s Word together.
A spectacular walk through the recreated Ark (true to the biblical dimensions) detailed how Noah’s family built and maintained the Ark and cared for the thousands of animals during the flood. Three decks provide insights into food storage, living quarters, workshops, animal cages and yes, even food growth.
The Creation Museum refutes the modern teaching of evolution, teaching the message of creationism, something that is not being taught in our public schools today. The biblical themes at both parks center on the trustworthiness of the Bible, and provide a clear picture of the plan of salvation.
Our trip also included a luncheon cruise on the Ohio River, a bus tour of the “Queen City,” Cincinnati, and a stop at the Indianapolis Speedway museum. We are grateful that God gave us a safe trip, one without any mishaps or sickness! A great time was had by all!
All “Seniors on the Go” trips are open to those enjoying their second half of life.
