Summer Camps were back in full swing in 2022 and MN Kids Camp was the largest kids camp in LGCC history. God moved powerfully as kids were rescued from depression, sickness, hopelessness, and sin. Over 700 volunteers came together to help make Kids Camp happen while Kyle Jorris and his wife Hailey also did an amazing job as they communicated God’s love and His Word to kids.
Family Camp followed Kids Camp as tents, bikes, and RVs poured into Lake Geneva Christian Center. The campgrounds and worship center were filled to capacity and the services were filled with God’s presence. We were blessed by the ministry of Eric Samuel Timm, Micah MacDonald, Drs. Paul and Carol Alexander, and Allen Griffin. Messages in the Worship Center were recorded and are posted on our website at: mnaog.org/media.
The third week of Youth Camp is happening as you read this. Our youth camp speakers this year were Allen Griffin, Gabriel Zamora, Manny Arango, and Jono Gates. They are all dynamic communicators leading students to the altars every night of camp. The Jr. Teen and Combined 1 weeks were the largest ever and it could be another record year in overall attendance. Because of this significant growth in our age-graded camps, we are adding a new housing unit along the shoreline to accommodate 224 additional campers each night. Thanks again to everyone for your generous hearts toward Camp. Lake Geneva is an incredible resource to churches, pastors, and families. We believe this new building will allow more people to experience God’s presence at the altars of Lake Geneva. Look for another progress update in September’s MDC Monthly.
