Summer Camps at Lake Geneva Christian Center

Summer camps were bustling with activity in 2024. This year’s Kids’ Camp theme was “The Final Lap.” Our kids were challenged to run the race that Jesus has marked out with focus and power so the lost people can be found.

The speakers were Pastors Josh Holdeman, Kelly Presson, and Tim Shurley. The Gospel was preached through skits, stories, and object lessons. God moved powerfully around the altars. Almost every camper responded that they heard God speak or felt His presence at camp. KidMin Director Chris Pruett commented, “MN is so blessed to have the best kids pastors in the nation leading at our camps! This year was our biggest kids camp season with over 2,260 campers, 254 teen volunteers, and 730 adult volunteers, totaling 3,244. Over $40,000 was also raised for BGMC.” To God be the glory!

Following Kids Camp, campers, tents, RVs, bikes, and more poured into Family Camp from June 28 to July 7. The campgrounds and Worship Center were filled to capacity, and the services were filled with God’s presence. We were blessed by the ministry of Alton Garrison, Micah MacDonald, Dr. Doug Lowenberg, and Wayne and Kristi Northup. Messages in the Worship Center were recorded and are posted on our website at mnaog.org/media.

The fourth week of Youth Camp is underway. This year’s speakers include Austin Westlake, Noah Herrin, Paul Hurckman, and Joey Silva. Each night, the whole Worship Center became an altar of response. Attendance at each week of camp has exceeded last year’s totals. 3,225 of just teens were at the first three weeks, and another 1,169 are expected to arrive in a few days, making 2024 a record-breaking year overall. Recap videos for Kids Camp and Youth Camp can be found online at vimeo.com/mnaog.

We are so thankful for the significant growth in our age-graded Camps and Retreats. The Legacy Lodge allowed us to accommodate 240 additional campers each night! Thanks again to everyone for your investment in the fruitful ministry happening at Lake Geneva. The results in the lives of those attending are a blessing to churches, pastors, and all who participate. We pray this will allow the next generation to experience God’s presence in ever-growing numbers.
