BTG Thrive Conference | Angie Goetz, BTG Director
This year, Thrive experienced the largest Hope Project offering with $103,000! This upcoming year, BTG will focus on evangelism, discipleship, and compassion by partnering with Africa’s Hope, World Serve International, Venture, and Project 42. We’re excited to see the women of MN grow in generous giving for the cause of Christ.
The annual Thrive Conference was one for the record books! The event was held for the second year in Rochester, MN at the Mayo Civic Center on September 30 – October 1 with leadership speaker Carey Nieuwhof, powerful messages from Charlotte Gambill, and Lisa Harper, and worship led by Emmanuel Live. It was equal parts fun and powerful!
The 2022 Thrive theme was “Immersed” based on the scripture in Luke 10:27, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.” Our desire was to see women’s entire lives soaked with loving God, nothing untouched by their love for Him alone. During the opening session on Friday, 103 women responded to a call for spontaneous baptisms. The testimonies are miraculous, and it was beautiful seeing women take this step of obedience.
On Saturday morning, the ladies were joined by media outlets hoping to capture a historic morning. After careful adjudication, Bridging the Gap is now a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title holder for the largest doughnut wall. The free-standing wall was 44’ long X 8’ high. It was a fun highlight of the conference! The previous record holder was 1,201 doughnuts in the UK. BTG shattered that record with 3,000 doughnuts with the help of sponsor, Convoy of Hope. This unique opportunity provided BTG a media platform to share about Thrive and our mission to encourage, equip, and empower every woman on her faith journey with Jesus Christ.
