Today, July 22, Governor Tim Walz issued Executive Order 20-81 that goes into effect July 25 and requires face masks to be worn in all indoor public spaces. This order includes churches. The MN Dept. of Health has updated their guidelines for faith communities, and pastors will want to review that to see how the new Executive Order affects their church.
In short, masks are required for everyone if you are holding indoor services in Minnesota. Those “speaking” or “performing” are allowed to temporarily remove their masks as long as they are physically distanced.
For outdoor services and drive-in services, masks are not required only if proper social distancing is maintained.
